SCHOLARSHIPS
2024 scholarship recipients: Cameron Hoag, planning to study HVAC at Iowa Central Community College, Daniel Holste, club member, and Anthony Stalpes, planning to study welding at ICCC.

The Nokomis Woodworkers Club will offer a scholarship each year to a Humboldt High School graduating senior or past Humboldt High School graduate who is advancing their education in a carpentry, construction, building trades, or woodworking-related profession. Interested applicants can pick up a scholarship application from the Humboldt High School counselor, contact the club directly for an application, or apply online here.

Applicants will provide a brief summary of their high school academic interests and classes and explain their career goals as related to construction, building trades, or the woodworking profession.

Applications should be submitted to the Nokomis Woodworkers Club by March 15 of the current year, although applications may be sent anytime during the year. Interested individuals may contact the club for additional information.

  • Materials, such as lumber, equipment, and tools, for club projects and educational activities 
  • Money that will be used to: 
    • cover the cost of materials used in service projects
    • support the club’s annual academic scholarship
    • defray operational costs
    • purchase new equipment
  • Other woodworking items, equipment or supplies the club might use
